The humpback whales

Cayo Levantado is a place where humpback whales are sighted during the seasons from January to March. In Cayo Levantado, the visitor and the exuberant vegetation with its beautiful beaches dispute the reign. Lovers of nature and stunning beauty came looking for a paradise and found it in Cayo Levantado. The entire island is a small gem, located just outside of the Samaná peninsula and is a perfect place to escape for a day. White sand and dust, turquoise waters, like crystal - ideal for snorkeling or swimming gently. There are several birds there, like Hispaniola parrots, lettuce and cattle. It is remarkable that there is also the jutia and the solenodon there.
In short, Cayo Levantado is a place only 1 kilometer long but it has everything a person could want to spend a great vacation, from swimming to snorkeling, if you are going to visit this beautiful place I recommend you bring your camera and some dollars.
